I have a 97 Ford Ranger 4.0L. If I use an egr block off plat to eliminate the egr won’t it set

Fix it right, NOX emissions are a deadly gas. Your vehicle still requires inspection or emission tests. If you live in an area where they require it, that is. Your valve and sensor can be cleaned and or replaced and your solenoid for vacuum supply can too. Your vehicle uses its valve to cool the combustion at cruise. If the passage is clean, and the valve operates right, no problem, so why would ya?

You can even find good parts at the u-pull-it yards. Cost goes way low, so what is your actual issue?
