Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2003 Altima will lose it's RPM randomly.  Had the dealer reset the computer but it happened again.  You can press the gass all the way down
and not rev the engine.  But the car will start without issues.  88,000 miles.  No happy with this car.

Agreed, bad PCM or perhaps a sensor -- throttle position sensor would be one possibility I'd investigate.

Sounds more like a bad mass air flow meter

Had this happen to my 06 Maxima - voltage problem - ended up being bad alternator which ruined the battery. Throttle is electronic - no cable so it relies on electrical signals from the PCM to operate throttle
