03 Nissan Altima 2.5 4 cylinder head gasket cracked

Should I replace the engine in my 03 Altima
or should I just replace the head gasket. The
car only has 82000 miles on it what should I
do

I agree with above if ran hot (if so have checked for warp) even after resurfacing it is just a matter of time before the head gasket blows again. If anything buy a new head or go to a junk yard like a pull-a-part that will let someone you trust pull it for you as it needs to be pulled, loosing the bolts in a specific order to keep from doing damage to it. Then having it checked for warp first if it is not then a pressure test, then have head cleaned up and new seals installed, resurfaced, clean up the block surface without harming the block surface, (no power tools) No cutting grooves in it. Of course check every possible reason it could run hot, clean radiator (flushed), new thermostat & coolant temp sensor, confirm fans are working. New Hoses. Belts, ect new engine oil & filter. This is just a guide and there is more to it but you should get a repair manual.
