anti thief key system

Asked by Gilbert_007 Oct 03, 2016 at 09:28 AM about the 2004 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello,

I have a 2004 Altima that suddenly does not want to start. Stopped for 10
minutes and then the engine would not crank...nothing. The Battery is good
as the headlight, windows functions correctly with all other electric devices.
Pretty sure it's the key that needs to be reset. How do I do  reprogram my
key??
Thanks for your help,

So come to find out, it the starter that simply died. Contacted Nissan for the key and service personnel was helpful in mentioning the anti theft system key could be the problem but most likely be something else.
