Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car has to warm up before it will go in gear and will
shut off when shifting to reverse or drive if not
warmed up. Service engine soon light came on and
gave code P0744.  Any feedback?

So it could be trash blocking the gears, solenoid pack, tcm, wiring, or a shot transmission? It drives like a brand new car once I get going. Just at 100000 miles.

Sounds like ya need to replace the valve body assembly.

The transmission guy says it is hard to get to the tranny on this car.

Told I have metal shavings and valve(s) closed. Does 3100$ for transmission/labor w/3yr. Warranty sound reasonable?
