Mercedes-Benz C300 front camera sensors

Hi,
My C300 has a camera just behind the star in
the front. What is that supposed to do and
how do you know if it works?  It is supposed
to have sensors too. How do you know if the
are working?

The camera in front is probably to monitor how close you are to the car in front of you so that the automatic braking can be applied when needed.

That's not a camera, it's the nacelle for the death ray if you purchased that as an option. Wait, ur on earth? Nah, that option not available on terrestrial Benz. probably is a camera.
