I am removing the IAC to clean, Is there a test to determine if it is bad? If so, can it be repaired or have to buy the complete assembly

There is a certain resistance in the IAC I am not sure what that exact value is, but if you Google IAC resistance value for what ever car you are looking for you should be able to find it.
