my check engine light is flashing on and off. what does that mean?

my car as been acting funny it acts like it wants to cut off but it doesnt and my check engine light flash on and off i just got a rebuild transmission put in a few days ago

take it to inspection, they probably just need to reset the computer... they act funny if they disconnect them and connect them again. probably they disconnect a sensor when they swap the tranny

if its flashing it means catalitic damage is possible, u probely have a cylinder not firing.

It could be anything, but i would go to a place that can plug in the obd2 reader (little computer that is pluged in to the car to run diagnostics) so that you know what code the car is throwing.
