Coolant Indicator

Asked by LatchKey Dec 22, 2019 at 07:30 PM about the 1997 Ford Expedition 4 Dr XLT SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My radiator coolant indicator has spiked to HOT
twice in the last couple trips and then immediately
goes back to a normal indication. There is no
smoke at the end of my trip and the coolant level is
fine. Is this just a sensor issue or is there perhaps
another problem? The radiator has been replaced in
the last three years.
