Will racing headers and performance exhaust cause 2001 eclipse gs to run hot if you don't install cold air intake

No but the headers will dump a lot of heat into the engine compartment. The cold air intake will help increase power when coupled with the headers.

Is this the v8 eclipse? I would definitely, DEFINITELY, invest heavily into performance mods, asap. You can only increase the value of this pearl of a hot rod.
