NEW FUEL PUMP IS NOT TURNING ON FOR MY 2001 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE 2.4L

Asked by Josh Jan 27, 2022 at 03:28 AM about the 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just bought a new fuel
pump for my 01 eclipse.
Now I put everything back
together like it was and put
the key to the on position to
see if at least the pump
turns on, but I didn't hear
any humming at all, so I
didn't try to start it. I have
only 1/8 of a tank of new
gas in the car. I'm going to
at least fill it to 3/4 of a tank
and see if the pump is
cycling, if it doesn't would it
be a fuel pump relay? If so
where would the fuel pump
relay be located? Thank you.

you need a multi tester to see what has power/ground and what don't , it should have been checked before you bought and installed a new fuel pump , there may be a relay in a box with others and there should be a diagram ..
