Check engine light came on

My car check engine light came on
while driving and when I switch gears
it’s like it doesn’t want to go .i open
the hood n it’s hot.only drove it bout
30mins? Also smoke coming out of
oil cap ,do you know what the
problem is

There is no way to tell without reading the codes. Anyone giving you advice here is only guessing. Go to Autozone or buy a OBD2 scanner online and read the codes. For instructions search " Mitsubishi Service Engine Light On Youcanic"
