What is wrong with my car?

Asked by ExplorerGuru82 Aug 23, 2023 at 02:46 PM about the 2019 Ford Explorer XLT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I accidently left my headlights on. I jump started my car. Now like the dings
when the door is open or when I'm close to another car while backing up sound
weird. Also this morning when I got in my car it said low battery start car or turn
off ignition. And sometimes its like it really has to try to start.

Sounds like low voltage, better have the vehicle checked over for voltage problems. Too low or too high volts can really mess up electronics, so don’t put this off or it could wind up really costing you.

Yeah I took it to O'Reilly's and they tested the battery. They said I need a new one as that one is shot. Thanks

G A...did you write about the possible voltage problem? I was your answer in my emails. Thanks. I took it to O'Reillys and they said my battery is shot.

Good. Hopefully things will come back without dealership intervention.
