Can someone tell me if the transmission is compatible?

I have a 2005 galant es and my transmission went
out. I have a 2004 Mitsubishi Galant LS that I
totaled but the transmission in it is still good it has
the sportronic in it can I put that in my 05 es?

I would see if the pans are the same and if all the plug ins are the same , One wire to no where could be a headache . It's usually best to go with what the car was designed for , so a rebuild may be better than replacing an old worn tranny for an old worn tranny .
