When I start my Hyundai 2006 the rpm is at
one is that a good thing or bad thing

1,000 rpm is fairly normal. Fast idle when it is cold might be around 1,500 rpm which should drop down to around 800 rpm when it is warm. BTW, 1 = 1,000 rpm.
