As usual check engine light

Asked by Luschwitz Jul 22, 2014 at 09:16 PM about the 2010 Hyundai Sonata GLS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My check engine light came on and it stated that the solenoid needed repair, so we did. I also for giggles replaced the gas cap. However that was over 2 weeks ago and the light is still on (sometimes it shuts off, but then pops back on) It still registers as the solenoid. How long does this take to pass?

Disconnect the battery for about a half hour. That will clear the codes from the ECU then see what happens.
