Since the cancellation of the Impala, is it best to wait on a price drop for a used 2017/2018 model?

Discontinued models generally see depressed values as used cars as dealers try to unload them, both at new and used car lots. I think the only exception to that rule was the 2011 Crown Vic, the last of that line.
