1977 c10 step side. Problem is running lights will not shut off. I have put in a new bezel, new headlight switch and dimmer switch. Any help on this would be great.

Questions: 1. The running or marker lights stay on or go off after you turn the key to the OFF position? 2. Can you turn the headlights on and off as normal with the pull switch on the dash. The dimmer switch - "beam selector switch" you operate with your foot should have no connection to your running lights except for a common ground. If by "dimmer switch" you mean the panel light dimmer function in the head light/running light pull switch, if wired wrong this could connect your running lights directly to 12 volts switched by the key switch. ... which is why I ask the two questions above.

Marker lights was staying on. I've since found the ground to my tail lights solved that issue .but now I have no turn signal lights.headlights come on as normal. still drawing current from somewhere also draining the battery? ??? Really haven't solved my dilemma with most of my trial and error processes
