My 2005 Kia Rio won't start

I have a 2005 Kia Rio with a manual transmission and I just replaced the
battery and the starter but when I push in the clutch and turn the key it don't
turn over or start

Check the clutch safety switch on the clutch pedal. May need some adjustment or it is sticky or just bad.
