Jack Lever use?

My 2017 MX5 RF comes with a jack lever -- even though there is no jack
included with this model.  What is it supposed to be used for?  I've found no
reference in the owner's manual and the dealer's service dept didn't know.

I think its to remove tow hook plugs and screw tow hooks in.
