Bought a new 2016 MX-5 Club and it had no jack, lug wrench, tie down/tow hooks, or the tool to remove the tie down/tow hook bumper cutout covers. What gives?

Does it have a spare tire? Many vehicle now days don't. If it has no spare (and doesn't come with one) then the dealer doesn't owe you anything, but a tire inflation kit. According to www.tirerack.com this car does not come with run flat tires.

My 2007 had a little kit that attached to the back of the boot area. It included a pump that could refill the tire as well as a can of fix-a-flat. It DI come with run flat tires. I never had to use any of it, the package was intact. The dealer does owe you that device, If I remember correctly, there is a jack located under the floor of the boot.

I'm most concerned about having a set of the tow hooks, in case, and the lug wrench should be in the car, how else can I check tightness of the lugs. I have tools to do almost anything but a lug wrench should be included. Come on Mazda, let's not be so cheap as to shortchange me on 2 hooks and a lug wrench....

My NA and NB came with spare and tools. ND just the inflater can. FPPPPPP but that is the way it is.

You should get a lug wrench & a little kit in the trunk with a small air compressor plus a stop leak container. I own a 2016 ND Club also & had a flat rear tire but I decided to use the compressor to inflate the tire & drive to the local Mazda dealership.& not use the stop leak. The dealer was able to patch my tire. Many cars today don't have a spare tire & this is one of them. I suggest you read the manual take a look at the air compressor & the power port located under the dash on the passenger side close to the center console. If all else fails the 1-800-866-1998 for roadside assistance should be in your cell phone.

I just purchased a new 2019 Miata. The manual shows a 3 piece Jack kit. However, the kit in the car contained only 1 item. Dealer said that the manual is incorrect so I will call Mazda HQ.

I own a 2016 ND Club convertible bought new in 2017. It did not come with a jack / lug wrench for this car. Instead it ONLY came with a Air compressor & a tire goop fix a flat. They are saving weight ... so this is the way it comes. So I went on EBAY & bought the jack from a NB along with the crank bar. Its also a good idea to get a tire patch kit for more serious holes. I've already had 2 flats on my car W/O the proper tools but both happened in my garage so I was able to deal with the flats. If your out in a rural area it may be quite a while to get help if your flat can't BE GOOPED with the fix a flat.
