I have a 1999 Ford Explorer XLT with 208k miles. There is a high wheezing (think rocket engine) when it is hot. Some say oxygen sensor, some say transmission. It also hesitates. Which is it?

might be the converters? does it have full power? run it till its hot then look to see if the converters get cherry red hot if so theres your problem.. hope this helps
