hi i have a 1999 ford explorer with a 4.0 l with vin code x . the top radiator
flattens out like sucks together  . no over heat,  flushed system ,changed
thermostat,heat there sometimes and sometime not

I would have the radiator pressure cap checked. is there a sweet smell(antifreeze) around the car when hot? You failed to mention if you are loosing coolant in the over flow bottle or not and if this flattening only happens when cold A bad cap will cause the loss of fluid without visible leak as it leaves as vapor lack of pressure would allow the pump to apply vacuum to the intake side of system and collapse the hose even when hot.
