2004 honda accord 5 speed, grinding noise when coming out of 1st in gear and turning left or right

Asked by Mauricio Jan 21, 2019 at 12:39 PM about the 2004 Honda Accord Coupe LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 Honda Accord lx coupe with 150,000 miles. Coming out of 1st
gear turning left or right there is grinding (sounds like rolling rocks) for a few
seconds but as soon as I put the clutch in it stops.

Usually only happens out of 1st but I have heard the noise persist into 2nd a
couple times while driving.

Just replaced an axle boot as it was leaking. Not sure if this is a CV joint or
transmission related (bearing?). Like I said it doesn't happen in neutral when
turning. Any Ideas?

Could be a wheel bearing or a clutch/transmission issue. Have a mechanic give it a test drive as noises are nearly impossible to diagnose on the internet.
