What's wrong with my 99 Ford Escort?

Noticed leak.  Had T-coil thing replaced.  Leak stopped.  Noticed check engine light came on, and each time foot put on brake pedal, brake light came on!  Car had coolant and oil!  What's wrong with my 99 Ford Escort LX?

Check engine light on, take it to ur local auto parts store and they can scan for codes free of charge. Not sure if u have a typo but when you step on bake pedal, brake light is supposed to come on.
