2017 Dodge Journey Remote Start

Asked by Mike Dec 19, 2022 at 08:52 PM about the 2017 Dodge Journey SE AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2017 Dodge Journey that the remote start
will not work. When I press the remote button the
display in the car says “ Remote Start Disabled”.
There are no lights being displayed including the
check engine light. Any ideas as to what the problem
might be?

Sometimes you get that error when there is stored trouble code. But you can try this trick. If you have a second key fob, walk around the car 5 or 6 times locking and unlocking the car, then do the same with the original remote start FOB, this will get the vehicle to relearn the remotes.
