tennisshoes-. Interesting answer, I purchased my 2010 as a certified pre-owned car, has almost 82,000 runs like the day I took delivery over 2 1/2 years ago at 65,000 miles. Doesn't burn excessive oil, about a quart in 3,000 miles or more.

And, I'm getting 24 to 25 city and 29-30 highway depending on how it's driven.

My Forester is getting over 26 in mountain driving. It has dropped about 1 mpg now that it has about 40k on it. My service manager that I trust says to break in new Subaru engines like you would normally drive them. The computer learns your driving habits and if you baby it for the first few thousand miles you may end up with a car that seems like it is down on power.
