2017 Chrysler Pacifica shuts down and will not go in gear

All lights come on on instrument panel, car will not go in gear and when it does
go in in gear going down the highway it shuts itself down

scan for codes even if the light ain't on , check batt connections make sure they're tight and in good shape . check any applicable fuses for tarnish on the tangs , clean and reinstall

When an engine stops running, the alternator stops producing electricity and all the instrument lights go on. That's what's happening here. You likely just have a bad alternator. Just have it replaced.
