2017 Pacifica blue flashing light / button / device

Asked by Eddie Jan 14, 2017 at 01:53 AM about the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Touring L Plus FWD

Question type: General

Hi, I am looking for help as I noticed this blue flashing light / button / device
(photos attached) and it is nowhere on the manuals, on the internet, and the
dealer has no explanation for it. The little device has a button on it that you can
push but I was unable to identify what it does. I pushed it and saw nothing
happening. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

That is weird the dealer does not know what that is...What is the symbol on the button, what is it?

no they did not, they gave me a "this car is fully loaded so it some sensor for the instruments or could be part of the anti-theft system", so no definitive answer. the symbol looks like a "saturn". I tried to look it up but didn't find the manufacturer.

Did you ever figure this out. I just got a Nissan Versa Note S Plus and I have the same switch.

I have the Same button in my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee and not sure what it does and my dealer said they don't know. but for some reason I've noticed that only cars from there dealership have it

My 2019 has one to and it is only suck with 2 sided tape as it was loose and I pushed it back onto dash

That's dealer installed GPS late payments or repo they can immobilize vehicle no matter where it's at. They only shut down when vehicle is not running

I have a 2020 Palisade with a similar device. It is a dealer added security system the dealer installs to track and disable the vehicle in the event it is stolen from their lot. CAUTION: The dealer will try to charge you for the system with no instructions on how to use it. The blue light was irritating so I put black electrical tape over it.
