knocking sound and ses light blinking

took this truck up a grade against a 2013 dodge and got our butt wooped
directly after it developed a knock?  service engine soon light blinks while
driving down the road and while parked it stays on constanly????

Well, as you know, knock is very bad for pistons/ and piston rings (spark knock). You most likely have rod knock, which developed due to oil depravation (going up a grade, and quickly.) Do you have a code reader? Have the code read, and do a compression check- you may have damaged the motor.
