Chevy K1500 5.7 V8 speed and, rpm clusters died and doesnt have over drive.

So about a week ago i noticed my Speedo and rpm gauges stopped working
so i decided to dig into it a little further, to find the transmission is throwing
codes, but all 3 started at the same time, it won't go into over drive, it is also
really gut less on take off it has no power, i think i have it boiled down to , two
things its either an electrical problem IE sensor plugs or wiring, or the
sensors or shift solenoids went, the mechanic part of me says start small
change the parts before moving onto bigger things, but im stumped between
electrical or parts any help?
