Sparks at light switch

I have a 1981 chevy k10 pickup , I replaces the
gauges that the previous owner installed and put
new volt meter on pluged it in the fuse box . And
the light switch in the fuse box too the auxiliary
fuse and it started to arc at the light switch , why is
it doing this I have everything grounded .

If it is arcing at the light switch, you may have an exposed hot wire. The arc is caused by power jumping to ground. Sounds like some is grounded that should no be.
