2005 Infiniti G35 coupe

So i noticed after a few days or so after i took my dash apart and the center
console that it doesn't switch into the other mode when I want to shift. It's
acting weird when i go into this mode sometimes. I'm not sure if its a electrical  
problem, or its my Transmission. The car has 161,xxx

You took the "dash apart" AND the console- and now you wonder why something doesn't work- and I'm s'posta know? Look, beyond asking the question of WHY did you take the "dash apart" I will take the high road and suggest that if you were fiddling around with the thousands of wires behind the dash, MAYBE the shifting problem IS electrical-
