2005 Infiniti has a timing chain, not a belt. It should be good for the life of the engine.

Your are welcome. I personally owned a 2009 Infiniti G37x sedan. Similar engines, yours is a 3.5 ours was a 3.7. Great car, we got ours new and put 60,000 trouble free miles on it before trading it. My recommendation would be use Mobil1 oil in it and change it at 5,000 miles or 1 year which ever comes first. Best of luck with it.
