If I remember correctly, it should be bolted under the rear deck, you should see it if you look under the deck from the trunk. Otherwise you could go ask someone at the service department at a Ford dealer.

you have 2 amps, one on each side of the trunk, located right underneath the speakers.

had the same issue...I found the factory amp has to have a trigger wire connected this will be the blue power antenna wire from the new stereo to the blue amp wire. amp is located at the bottom of the center stack below the radio

For all models with speakers in the front until 04. If you need to bypass the amp, you have to buy the special wire, they blow easy. Then connect the bypass connect wire adapter between the lines the go in and out of the amp. The amps are junk on these and too much amperage and they start shorting out; not too good for an aftermarket. Then you can include the aftermarket radio but you only have to use the connectors with RCAs or you can use the speaker wire if no amps being installed; you can change later. The power adapter is now the one without the blue wire and you only need 1 orange wire for touchscreen; so just and orange and a red and a blue for your antenna; it it's power.
