Tempature guage at half then moves upward.

i replaced the thermostat housing and thermostat along with sensors. The guage starts
at hal when cold then moves upward as the vehicle gets warm. What causes that and
how can I fix it?

When gauge starts to rise is the vehicle over heating ? If not sounds like you have a bad gauge or sensor that goes to gauge in engine block. And also did you bleed air from cooling system ?

Just read your question again if gauge starts out half way you definitely have a bad gauge or sensor to gauge. Thermostat gauge should always start out from lowest reading.
