what is the OBD reading on a 2004 sonata

I had a smog check and got a message " did not pass the OBD system chck because its OBD system was not ready to test "

On Board Diagnostic It's the socket usually under the dash that they plug an instrument cord into, If you go to a parts store ... like AutoZone they will check it for free and tell you what the problem is. Sometimes .. if an alarm was reset you have to wait a few days before the inspection people will allow the reading
