never made any noise indicating that something
was wrong

Remove the spark plugs and try to turn it over. If the engine ran out of oil or lost oil pressure for some reason the engine could seize.

If the oil light came on and was ignored then the engine will seize in a very short time (Check the oil level with the dipstick to see if it has oil) or if the engine overheated and was ignored ,,then check the coolant level for that possibility, Perhaps an OB2 will give you an alarm history

Another clue could be the volume setting on the CD that made it impossible to hear anything ... some of these younger drivers wouldn't hear a fire truck if it was directly in back of them

Thank you guys for that information unfortunately I went off different information so that's not actually the problem the problem is it is turning over but it's not firing but it's getting no spark at all and that's what killed it when it went down the road I'm wondering why it would do that

Check the #1 cause (IMO) of an engine quitting .. the crank shaft sensor .. this should give you a general Idea of what to look for /// https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M13tbMfHWrw ( my apologies to your daughter)
