Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The SRS indicator light popped up this morning and is staying on. It is located directly above the check engine light. What is it trying to tell me?

SRS = supplemental restraint system. That means there is a fault with the airbag system.

If you have anything on the passenger seat, even a small dog, it will read it as a passenger and turn the light off. I also found that these cars are prone to false SRS warnings if the side seat sensores get damp or wet due to wet upholstry.
