1997 Honda prelude won't start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I first had a problem with a short in the engine
harness and computer I changed both I get spark
but it doesn't run but gets spark for a few turns I
took alarm out cause it wasn't working I hooked up
the main wires but the little ones I didn't some were
just spliced and still connected but now sun roof
won't work and that worked when the alarm was
hooked up I'm at a loss

YOu might have an Ignition Imobilizer issue. If you have swapped ECU then the original Ignition switch is paired with the original ECU. Its part of the factory passive security system built into all 97 through 2001 Preludes. Having the car reprogrammed will require a special RED learning key and special HONDA software that your local Honda dealer will have. IT WONT BE CHEAP. Sorry for the bad news

Yes I brought it to Honda costs me 150$ damn parts were a killer especially since old comp was reading but I had a friend that has same car found a short in the yellow wire in engine harness swapped that and comp now it's running after the flash of comp thanks for help
