Hear faint humming sound from inside car while car is running idle

The faint humming sound seems to be coming
from under the car or the lower  rear  of car. I  got
out of car walked around car while engine running
to listen for humming but couldn't hear any
humming outside. Humming sound can also be
heard faintly while driving.
