Faulty Air Condition

Asked by samuel Dec 15, 2019 at 03:07 PM about the 2010 Volkswagen Passat Comfortline

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2010 VW Passat has a problem with the air
condition. When it's switched on at times it will
come on working alright for some few minutes
(like 5 to 10 minutes) and cuts but never return but
rather starts blowing hot air, at times too when
switched on, it will not blow any chilly air at all even
though the a/c switch (on /off) button light
illuminates alright, indicating the a/c is switched
on alright. Though the a/c compressor will be on
working alright. Any assistance would be highly
appreciated.
Thanks.

You may have a blend door actuator problem. If the AC compressor is kicking on and off I would suspect the blend door is not opening from heat to ac.
