A/C blows different temperature air

Asked by SmittyDick Jun 22, 2021 at 12:09 PM about the 2015 Volkswagen Passat 2.0L TDI SEL Premium FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When the a/c is on the air gets progressively warmer as
you go from the passenger side to the driver. The farthest
left vent blows hot air as if the heat is on. What can cause
this?

It was the blend door actuator. My mechanic won't touch it so I took to the dealership. Sucks but needs to be done.

You could have changed it yourself but I am glad it fixed the problem. Dealers tend to mark up parts 200% and even though they repair it in 1 hr, if the book says 2 you get charged 2.
