Looking at compact suvs / crossovers and have a few in mind.. Any thoughts or suggestions for these models?

Asked by AttackZack Aug 21, 2016 at 02:53 PM about the 2016 Nissan Rogue SV AWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

So really looking at something around this size for an suv/crossover/etc.
I like the more sporty look, and the Rogue has really stood out to me, I also
really like the fact it can have 7 seats. What I don't like is the fact that
everyone says it's driving is terrible and very slow pick up. I don't
necessarily care if it's fast, but is it really that bad?
Right now I am comparing these models:

Nissan Rogue
Nissan Murano
Hyundai Santa Fe
Hyundai Tuscon
Chevy Equinox

I will consider any car, I just have those as my preferences at the moment,
the Rogue is kind of at the top right now for capacity and interior reasons,
but if it's that bad I would rather go with a 5 seater.

I like my 2010 Subaru Outback. You may want test drive one...

I think the Rogue has a CVT transmission and they have been troublesome. Go on a test drive of one of the Mazda SUVs. They are reliable and fun to drive.

Bob's comment seems to be consistent with this report, the Subaru CVT transmission has a much better reputation, http://www.carcomplaints.com/Nissan/Rogue/
