Have a 2004 Pilot LX want to install a hitch for my utility trailer. any recommendations of brand/type of hitch ? Honda has this " off their system" so I need to shop " aftermarket".

All major brands meet the same standards. Your best bet is to go to a dealer that can match the hitch to your towing needs and that can get all the proper wiring. I have been dealing with hitches for 20+ years, and have seen too many backyard mechanics do too many shade-tree installs. Towing products need to be done right or not at all.

And your Honda dealer should be able to do this for you. They do have access for the parts through Honda.
