I have a 2004 Honda Civic and the ignition is worn to the point where it wears out keys fast. Can the "chip" key ignition be replaced with a non "chip" keyed ignition? The ignition assembly is pricey for the "chip" key version. Thanks

you have to replace your ignition cylinder and have a locksmith make you a key with the ship.

So there is no way to replace the current ignition with one that does not require a "chip" key? A non-chip ignition assembly/cylinder?
