1991 500sl idles at 2000 rpms

replaced idle control sensor car still idles at 2000 rpms in park and neutral goes to normal
rpms in gear

Possible small vacuum leak, check for cracked or brittle hoses, replace as needed, use some brake clean and spray around throttle body gasket area, if a leak is there the idle will go to normal then increase again, if so replace gasket and while your in there, clean the throttle body.
