Winter tires

Asked by gaclose Dec 05, 2018 at 12:09 PM about the 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Can I replace 225R65 17 with  245R65 17 winter tires on my 2016 Grand
Caravan?

The tires will work on your rims. Tires can fit a range of widths within reason. The real issue is the tires are both wider and taller which may mean you can't run cables without damaging your car. Wider tires can work just fine in snow if you air down. I would go with a stock sized tire with the snowflake/mountain symbol on the sidewall.
