Just met the director of engineering Ford NVH a couple weeks ago, Ford installed a resonator pipe between the Mustang GT's V-8 and its fire wall, lots of comments on this seems as every manufactures doing some type of sound "enhancement" Here is one comment. It's particularly silly that they think people want that out of a muscle car." It was pretty disappointing to me when I first test drove the Mustang, that you hear almost nothing from the engine when you're cruising at 80... but dammit, it's a V8 Mustang!" the buyers want it louder perception that it's more powerful, same numbers but it's still artificially enhanced. Disclaimer: Doing this may void your Mustang’s warranty. It also may be in violation of local, state, and federal laws, as well as international fishing treaties, and place you on the NSA,s watch list.
