Cleared codes on used mazda

Asked by cimmaryn May 04, 2019 at 10:22 AM about the 2016 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring AWD

Question type: General

Purchased a vehicle through an online dealer. My mechanic checked it out
and shows that three codes were cleared before I got the vehicle. Battery
circuit failure, body control module, and camera failure. I have 7 days to return
(on day 4). Also a passenger halo light is out.

Does clearing the codes mean the problem was fixed, or that the problems
remain and they were trying to commit fraud? What do I do?

It’s a 2016 Mazda Cx-5.

Gah....I’m taking it to a Mazda service place on Monday to see if they can tell me if there are actually any problems. There is a 90 day warranty provided with the car, and when I called they said they would pay for any repairs needed... They are willing to expand the 7 day return if needed (I will get that in s is why I drove my last one to 275k...this is torture!
